Richard R. and Constance M. Albrecht Scholarship

This award is open to all active doctoral graduate students in good standing who have successfully passed their preliminary examination. Preference is given to applicants with a GPA > 3.5. Students must be enrolled either full- or part-time during the fall 2024 semester to be eligible for the award. Students cannot receive this award more than once. 

Arnold and Julia Greenwell Memorial Scholarship for Social Sciences and Humanities

Open to all doctoral graduate students in good standing and who are conducting research/scholarship in the social sciences or humanities. Preference is given to applicants with a GPA > 3.5.  Students must be enrolled either full- or part-time during the fall 2024 semester to be eligible. Students cannot receive this award more than once. 

Anne and Russ Fuller Fellowship for Interdisciplinary Research/Scholarship

This fellowship is open to all doctoral graduate students in good standing and who are conducting interdisciplinary research/scholarship. Preference is given to applicants with a GPA > 3.5.  Students must be enrolled either full- or part-time during the fall 2024 semester to be eligible. 

Graduate School Dissertation Year Fellowship

This nine-month fellowship for doctoral candidates includes a stipend of up to $20,000 for the academic year. Also included is a two-credit tuition waiver and up to $1,000 for travel and/or research. This fellowship is open to all doctoral candidates in good standing with an approved dissertation proposal who have passed their preliminary exam and expect to complete and defend their dissertation during the nine-month (academic year) period in which the award is offered. In addition, the candidate must be a legal Washington State Resident as defined by RCW 28B.15.012, and they must have been enrolled full time prior to the fellowship period. Preference is given for students with a 3.5 or higher graduate GPA. Students will not be allowed to hold academic appointments during the tenure of their fellowship.

Karen P. DePauw Leadership Award

This is a $1,000 award (1 or 2 awards each year) open to all doctoral graduate students in good standing who have successfully passed their preliminary examination, and have at least a 3.5 graduate GPA. Students must be enrolled either full- or part-time during the fall 2022 semester to be eligible for the award. Students cannot receive this award more than once. Nominations for this award are made through the Association of Faculty women and will be evaluated by the Graduate School on the strength of the letters of recommendation and scholarly activities that show clear links to leadership.
