Richard R. and Constance M. Albrecht Scholarship

This is a $1,500 award.  (3 to 5 awards each year). This fellowship is open to all active doctoral graduate students in good standing who have successfully passed their preliminary examination, and have at least a 3.5 graduate GPA. Students must be enrolled either full- or part-time during the fall 2021 semester to be eligible for the award. Students cannot receive this award more than once.

 

Ann Chittenden Holland Master’s Thesis Award for Graduate Student Excellence

This is a $1,000 award. (1 award each year). Open to all graduate students in good standing (in STEM) who have at least a 3.5 graduate GPA and have completed a WSU master’s thesis in the past year and currently are enrolled in a doctoral program at WSU. STEM includes the NSF STEM classification of instructional programs; agricultural sciences, chemistry, computer science, engineering, environmental science, geosciences, life/biological sciences, mathematics, physics/astronomy.

 

The Charles Allen Master’s Thesis Award

This is a $1,000 award. (1 award each year). This award is open to all graduate students in good standing in the arts, humanities and social sciences who have completed a WSU master’s thesis in the past year and currently are enrolled in a doctoral program at WSU and have at least a 3.5 graduate GPA. Students must be enrolled either full- or part-time during the fall 2021 semester to be eligible for the award. Students cannot receive this award more than once.

 

Karen P. DePauw Leadership Award

This is a $1,000 award. (1 or 2 awards each year). This fellowship is open to all doctoral graduate students in good standing who have successfully passed their preliminary examination, and have at least a 3.5 graduate GPA. Students must be enrolled either full- or part-time during the fall 2021 semester to be eligible for the award. Students cannot receive this award more than once. Nominations for this award are made through the Association of Faculty women and will be evaluated by the Graduate School on the strength of the letters of recommendation and scholarly activities that show clear links to leadership.

 

Arnold and Julia Greenwell Memorial Scholarship for Social Sciences and Humanities

This is a $1,500 award. (1 to 3 awards each year). Open to all doctoral graduate students in good standing who are also conducting research/scholarship in the social sciences or humanities and have at least a 3.5 graduate GPA. Students must be enrolled either full- or part-time during the fall 2021 semester to be eligible for the award. Students cannot receive this award more than once.

 

Anne and Russ Fuller Fellowship for Interdisciplinary Research/Scholarship

This is a $4,000 award per year up to two years. (1 to 3 awards each year) and is open to all doctoral graduate students in good standing who are conducting interdisciplinary research/scholarship and have at least a 3.5 graduate GPA. Students must be enrolled either full- or part-time during the fall 2021 semester to be eligible for the award.

 

Graduate School Dissertation Year Fellowship

This is a nine-month fellowship open to continuing doctoral students who are in the final stages of their doctoral work, and who demonstrate that their dissertation research embraces broader civic and social impacts beyond sound scholarly contributions (see evaluation criteria below). All fellowships will be for a nine-month period from the beginning of fall semester to the end of spring semester each academic year. Students will not be allowed to hold academic appointments during the tenure of their fellowship.
