WGSS TA | Teaching Assistant | Pullman

The Program in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies in the College of Arts and Sciences invites applications for a one-year Graduate Teaching Assistantship to teach WGSS courses during the 2026-2027 academic year on the Pullman campus (in person). The Program welcomes applications from PhD students enrolled in a WSU graduate program who have classroom teaching experience and who have demonstrated scholarly interests that align with WGSS’s practice of centralizing gender and/or sexuality in analysis. Applicants who are PhD candidates in the social sciences or associated interdisciplinary fields are preferred. Depending on need as determined by WGSS, the successful applicant will teach one section of the Introduction to Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies (WGSS 101) and assist with WGSS programming in fall 2026, and teach one section of WGSS 101 and possibly an upper-division course related to the applicant’s research interests in spring 2027 or an additional section of WGSS 101 or WGSS 120. Mentoring opportunities and professional development in the field will be provided by WGSS. The successful applicant will be expected to participate in training and orientation activities beginning August 16, 2026.
