Summer 2026 ASE Teaching Cost Calculator
The Graduate School recommends hourly pay (rather than Period Activity Pay/PAP) for summer teaching appointments. This calculator collects all components of instructional time and factors to estimate weekly hours and total cost (excluding benefits) for Summer 2026 Academic Student Employee (ASE) teaching appointments. It is specifically intended for summer teaching assistants. If a unit still chooses to use PAP, the FTE calculation here may be used for reference. However, we encourage an hourly approach so that pay is tied to actual hours worked.
