Dear Graduate Program Directors and Coordinators,
The GradCAS and EngineeringCAS applications for summer 2027, fall 2027, and spring 2028 (the 2026-2027 Cycle) are currently available for review and editing in prelaunch. Prelaunch editing closes in mid-July and applications will open in the CAS Applicant Portal on August 1, 2026 (unless otherwise configured). Please review your program’s configuration before that window closes.
Review Your Program
A summary of every GradCAS and EngineeringCAS application — including admit terms, open dates, campuses, and deadlines — is available at the WSU GradCAS program review site. Please confirm that your program’s current configuration accurately reflects your intentions for the upcoming cycle.
Admit Terms
This is the most time-sensitive item to verify. If your program does not plan to admit students for a particular term — for example, if you will not be accepting spring 2028 applicants — please notify us before mid-July. Once the application opens and an applicant submits, we cannot refund the Liaison CAS application fee. If your plans are uncertain, it is better to delay opening the application than to close it after applicants have already applied.
Deadlines
Review your application open date, display deadline, and default deadline for each application term. For guidance on what these fields mean and recommendations for avoiding applicant confusion, see the Application Windows section of the program review site. Additional documentation is available from Liaison at Edit Program Data, Deadlines, and Details.
Other Items to Review
- Custom program questions
- Reference requirements (letters of recommendation, Likert references, or both)
- Required documentation such as a Statement of Purpose
Making Changes
If you have been trained to edit in the CAS Configuration Portal, you may make changes directly in prelaunch to the 2026-2027 cycle. If you need access or prefer to submit changes for us to apply, email cas.support@wsu.edu.
Thank you, Greg
