Degree Description:

The Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence prepares students to design, implement, and evaluate artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions for complex real-world problems. Students build advanced knowledge in artificial intelligence foundations and subfields such as machine learning, neural networks, computer vision, generative AI, reinforcement learning, optimization, robotics, and applied AI.

The program offers thesis and non-thesis options. Students may pursue research-focused study through the thesis option or complete an applied non-thesis pathway that emphasizes advanced coursework, projects, and professional preparation. Coursework supports both foundational AI training and use-inspired applications across engineering, science, industry, and interdisciplinary fields.

Admission Requirements:

Applicants must meet the Graduate School’s admission requirements and should have academic preparation appropriate for graduate study in artificial intelligence. The program is designed for students with backgrounds in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, electrical engineering, applied mathematics, statistics, or related engineering and science disciplines.

Students from non-computer-science backgrounds may be required to complete preparatory coursework to support success in the program. Undergraduate coursework assigned to address admission deficiencies may not be counted toward the degree.
