Degree Description:

The Graduate Certificate in Sustainable Fuel Policy, Systems and Sustainability is a 9-credit graduate certificate offered fully online and asynchronously through WSU Global Campus.
The certificate focuses on the policy, regulatory, operational, logistical, and sustainability dimensions of sustainable fuel systems.

Topics include transportation economics, biofuel supply logistics, supply chain analysis and optimization, systems analysis, life cycle assessment, book and claim systems, and policy and regulatory frameworks.
The certificate may be completed as a standalone credential or stacked with two additional certificates and the capstone course toward the Master of Science in Sustainable Fuels.

Admission Requirements:

  • Applicants must have completed an undergraduate degree from an accredited institution.
  • Admission normally requires a minimum GPA of 2.75. Applicants with GPAs below 2.75 may be considered provisionally through a departmental exception process.
  • International applicants must meet English proficiency requirements.
  • Applicants must submit one letter of recommendation and possess the technology and skills needed to participate fully in online education.

This certificate is one of three stackable graduate certificates connected to the Master of Science in Sustainable Fuels.
Students may complete this certificate as a standalone credential or apply the credits toward the full master’s degree.

  • SF 509 SF Supply Chain Analysis and Optimization

Students may complete this certificate on its own,add one or both additional sustainable fuels certificates,or continue toward the MS in Sustainable Fuels.
The capstone course is required only for students completing the master’s degree.
