  • International applicants must meet English proficiency requirements.
  • Applicants must submit one letter of recommendation and possess the technology and skills needed to participate fully in online education.

Student Opportunities:

This certificate is one of three stackable graduate certificates connected to the Master of Science in Sustainable Fuels.
Students may complete this certificate as a standalone credential or apply the credits toward the full master’s degree.

Required courses include:

  • SF 507 Feedstock Assessment
  • SF 510 SF Fuel Analysis,Certification and Standardization
  • SF 511 SF Combustion and Emissions

Students may complete this certificate on its own,add one or both additional sustainable fuels certificates,or continue toward the MS in Sustainable Fuels.
The capstone course is required only for students completing the master’s degree.

Career Opportunities:

This certificate prepares students to work with fuel testing, certification, standardization, combustion, emissions, and fuel performance.
Areas of preparation include:

  • Feedstock assessment
  • Fuel analysis
  • Fuel certification and standardization
  • ASTM standards
  • Sustainable fuel testing
  • Combustion and emissions
  • Fuel performance
  • Certification pathways for commercial operations
  • Analytical testing practices for sustainable fuels

Career Placements:

Certificate completers may pursue or advance in professional roles connected to sustainable aviation fuels, fuel testing, certification, regulatory compliance, combustion analysis, emissions assessment, transportation fuels, and related technical operations.

This certificate is particularly relevant for professionals working with fuel analysis, certification and standardization, aviation fuels, sustainable fuel development, and commercial readiness of sustainable fuel products.
