Degree Description:

WSU’s Graduate Certificate in Pavement Durability and Sustainability is designed for currently enrolled graduate students interested in gaining knowledge in design and structural analysis of asphalt and concrete pavements, decision-making for sustainable and resilient civil infrastructure, and life-cycle assessment of transportation infrastructure.

Students who earn this certificate will be able to keep up with advances in pavement engineering, especially the emerging topics relevant to durability, sustainability, and climate resilience. Upon receiving the certificate, students will have knowledge of infrastructure sustainability and durability as a supplement to their existing civil engineering skill set and credentials.

This certificate program requires students to take 12 credit hours in graded coursework relevant to pavement durability and/or sustainability, consisting of three required 3-credit courses and one elective 3-credit course. The courses are delivered asynchronously in online instruction.
