Action Required: Finalize Program Details in GradCAS/EngineeringCAS by July 24

Dear Graduate Coordinators and Program Directors,

The deadline for editing GradCAS and EngineeringCAS program-specific questions and options for the upcoming application cycle (Summer 2026, Fall 2026, and Spring 2027) is fast approaching. With the application system going live on August 1, 2025, this is your final opportunity to ensure all program questions and requirements are accurate.

Critical Action Required by July 24, 2025

During the last application cycle, a few programs encountered missing or incorrect questions, which complicated admissions decisions.

What You Need to Validate

Please conduct a final review of application details for all your graduate programs across all admission terms. Specifically, validate:

  1. Program-specific applicant questions (for example, “Please identify up to four faculty members with whom you might like as a research mentor.”)
  2. Number and type of required recommendations – The CAS system allows Letter of Recommendation only, Likert only, or both Likert and Letter of Recommendation. This is a critical setting that cannot be changed after go-live.
  3. Program-specific requirements – If your program has English language requirements different from those of the graduate school, ensure they are accurately listed on the application.

How to Access and Review

Program coordinators can review their application questions and options using the CAS Prelaunch Dashboard (OBIEE > Dashboards > WSU Graduate Professional Education > CAS Prelaunch). All program coordinators and directors should have access to the dashboards linked below:
