Graduate Staff Assistant – Institutional Research and the Graduate School

Institutional Research and the Graduate School are seeking a graduate staff assistant for the upcoming fall term with funding through the 2026-2027 academic year. This position supports activities related to student data reporting to external agencies, such as Federal agencies for grant reporting, NIH-NSF, and the Council of Graduate Schools. This position requires intermediate knowledge of and ability to work with relational databases and statistical software (e.g., SQL, SAS, R, Python, OBIEE, Tableau), as well as word processing skills. Excellent writing and communication skills are essential. The graduate staff assistant will contribute to the analysis of qualitative and quantitative data, working on complex projects, collecting, compiling, and classifying data and verifying accuracy and comparability with other data. The graduate staff assistant will be a core member of the Institutional Research team and will participate in staff meetings, planning sessions, and other activities.

This is a half-time (20 hours per week – average) position. Students must be attending graduate school full time and be in good academic standing at WSU in the upcoming fall semester.
