Student Learning Outcomes

 

All graduates will be able to:

    1.  Acquire additional technical knowledge to allow graduates to pass professional examinations such as the CPA examination with a minimum of additional directed study and/or  otherwise advance in professional careers.
    2.  Perform professional accounting research related to national and international business decisions. Professional research can involve the application of generally accepted accounting  principles to financial reporting issues; the application of tax law to tax planning, compliance issues; and the application of generally accepted auditing standards to auditing issues.
    3.  Prepare business communications appropriate for the audience being addressed. Business communications can involve acceptable business letters, memoranda, reports and oral  presentations.
    4.  Provide an awareness of ethical issues related to the profession.
