Professor School of Mechanical and Materials Engineering & UREC Group Fitness Instructor

 

Graduate school can be stressful, competitive, and extremely demanding under normal conditions.  Graduate students experience high rates of burnout and mental health problems from unrelenting workloads and pressure.  The Covid-19 pandemic and the accompanying uncertainty and social upheaval amplifies anxiety and stress levels. Learn the basics of mindfulness and meditation training and how to realistically incorporate these practices into your daily life as a graduate student. We will practice several different techniques to support your well-being.

***Please wear comfortable clothes that will allow you to participate in some gentle movements
