We’ve all had this experience: We think we’re concisely explaining our research (or professional accomplishments, or teaching experiences, etc.) but then find listeners staring back glassy-eyed or starting to fidget, ready, it seems, to change the subject as quickly as possible. Being in that situation is uncomfortable and frustrating, plus you never get your message across. We’re all interesting and have good information to share! But sooner or later, it becomes clear that we need to know our audiences and develop an effective delivery paradigm.
To address that, The PDI is hosting a panel discussion with WSU professors and students who will share their advice on how you can use the 3 MT skills to communicate your work effectively to a public audience. Additionally, attendees will have a chance to interact and ask questions to the panelists. Register here
