THE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE PRESENTS:

FINANCIAL LITERACY SERIES: SAVING AND INVESTING

Mapping out a savings and investing strategy to reach your goals can be very personal. This lesson will help you relate some key topics and questions to your goals, as well as examine your plans and needs through a savings and investing lens. That way, you’ll organize your financial thoughts into a solid, yet flexible strategy.

In this lesson, you’ll learn about:

• The differences between saving and investing.

• Compound interest.

• The risks and rewards of saving and investing.

• The difference between retirement and non- retirement accounts.

• Saving and investing strategies by life stage.
