Dr. Donelle Posey, Clinical Associate Professor, Department of Psychology

Using student learning outcomes (SLOs) to assess student learning is a familiar practice in higher education with high-stakes implications for programs and their stakeholders. SLOs can be used to assess student learning at the assignment, course, and program levels. In this workshop, participants will be introduced to best practices for writing SLOs, the use of SLOs to inform teaching practices and the evaluation of student performance, and the use of SLO assessment to refine teaching techniques. Participants are encouraged to bring an existing /proposed assignment or syllabus to practice the skills learned in this workshop.

**Lunch will be provided
