Graduate Medical Leave is granted by semester, and students approved for this type of leave are <strong>not eligible to hold an assistantship<\/strong> during the leave period. See <a href=\"https:\/\/gradschool.wsu.edu\/graduate-school-policies-and-procedures\/#medical-leave\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/gradschool.wsu.edu\/graduate-school-policies-and-procedures\/#medical-leave\">Graduate School Policies and Procedures <\/a>for more information.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Employment Medical Leave<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>This leave applies when an ASE needs to take <strong>three or more days off from their assistantship duties<\/strong> for health-related reasons. In these cases, ASEs must report the time as <strong>paid leave<\/strong> (using available sick leave or vacation time) or as <strong>leave without pay (LWOP)<\/strong> if no paid leave is available.
